Ok. I have a confession to make

It's about..an addiction. obsession, if you will

I. have.

an unhealthy obsession...

with this lovely, gorgeous lady right here

and I find this horrible "imitation" ....absolutely revolting...

and if I ever meet this..paris hilton woman..I will slap her for trying to impersonate such a lovely. humble, beautiful woman. because she clearly is none of these..

I mean who allowed her to do this? who said "sure paris you'd totally be a super-cool audrey hepburn!" someone who clearly has no taste. I mean..loook at her. she just looks..sinister

nevermind. Its just wrong. thats my point-and I had to share

does everyone agree with me on this? should she NOT ever have been allowed to do this???

in other news, today is a GORGEOUS day!

and my fabulous husband sent me flowers for no reason

last night I watched amelie...had a little reisling and blackberry cobbler...it doesnt get better than that.


This morning I'm enjoying a lovely cup of jasmine with agave nectar and pita chips...and its foggy outside....what a good morning it is!





I want. to be. HALF as lovely and gorgeous as this woman. please?

Here is my to do list - for the next year or so. in no particular order

1. get my teachers licence- just in case!

2. grow pretty flowers that I can cut and put in a vase whenever I fancy

3. Make my apartment more like a home for me and my best friend to enjoy

4. knit something difficult but gorgeous

5. learn not to let the mean, hateful things people do get to me

6. Quit my job for something a little more...well..me?

7. pay off doctor bills for GOOD

8. apply for graduate school

9. visit nashville

10. start graduate school

11. learn to be a more patient person

12. learn to RELAX

13. Love my husband more every day

14. get into a real laundry routine

15. Drink less coke and more tea

16. learn to bake

17. Do yoga every day

18. read the books I've recently purchased

19. Be more outgoing and adventurous

20. Go hiking

So after I made my lovely tea shelf..I felt it needed something to go above it. maybe a sign...a picture related to tea...

but i couldnt find anything. and I've had a bit of a creative itch lately so..this is what I came up with .

I just wanted to stop in and share whats been going on at my home lately:



first off, the beautiful yellow buffet I introduced last week is now safely settled in our dining room

Also I would like to share a littly DIY project I completed this weekend.
I am quite proud of this (again please forgive the poor picture quality)

isn't my new teashelf just great?? of course, I can't take any credit at all for the design (found here )

also- please note the lovely hand towel made by my even lovelier sister-in-law! gorgeous isnt it??

now all I need is to finish my 'art' to go above the shelf and that will be the happiest corner in the whole apartment!

La vita è bella

life really is beautiful, isnt it ? from sunsets and flowers and rainstorms to fun restaurants or just sitting on the kitchen counter at home with your best friend eating leftovers..its all so very beautiful to me :)

I love my life- I am very blessed. so what if I dont have the career i want yet, so what If our kitchen is tiny and my oh-so-important mug collection doesnt quite fit in the cabinet. so what if we dont have all the money in the world. I have the most amazing family, amazing friends, a safe job, an incredible ( and handsome!) husband and a lovely place to go home to:) what else could you ask for? (except maybe a back yard for the poor taco!)

speaking of our tiny kitchen- the apartment looks wonderful!!! I must say we've done a pretty good job making it look like a home. I will post pictures soon, I promise :) in the meantime come on over! we'll make you some rice :)

advice:

SLOW DOWN! enjoy the little things...next time your'e walking to your car stop and look around at the trees and the flowers..the sky and the clouds..the people going about their lives..breathe deep..and I bet the rest of your walk will be wonderful:)

I finally found us a dresser!!!

also..has anyone else recently been to the rogers salvation army? have you ever seen a cat in there?..just wondering

I found this medium sized beauty in the back of an antique store in rogers..$35! I have big plans for it!!

they are as follows:

1. Paint it either a grey or blue ( like in the picture)

2replace the handles

3.line the drawers

4. put dividers in the drawers

5. stuff it with clothes!!!
